2001 Porsche Kreuzer Event

2001 Porsche Kreuzer Event
Dayton Ohio was the center of the Porsche® universe on a hot summer night in August. An estimated 100 Stuttgart bad boys and 300 attendees rolled into the Porsche parking only lot to raise $492 for the Emanuel Church Youth Group. A large time was had by the registrants and attendees alike. Door prizes galore and goodie bags were full of posters, Porsche® key rings , Tee-shirts and coffee mugs. The gourmet hot dogs and belly bombs were a hit with all who indulged and provided an air of garage sophistication to the evenings atmosphere. Rain was expected and at precisely 9PM we weren’t disappointed. In fact it had a biblical look as it boiled over the horizon from the West. Kreuzers sporting fresh detailing were quick to beat a hasty exit while the remainder sought refuge in the museum until the storm passed. The exception was Jerry Wilson from Lexington Kentucky and his 1997 C4S. He was overheard to remark, "I ain’t leaving until the beer is gone".

In the confines of the museum, a closeness fell over the crowd that had just consumed 50 pounds of seasoned pork. Friendships were made and gas was passed for an unforgettable evening of excessive personal transportation and ostentatious display of German Engineering.

Of course those Pylons don’t just pick themselves up so a big thanks goes out to all those buckaroos that took the time to help make the First Annual Kreuzers the best so far.
